Cooper's Ferry Partnership Waterfront Office Building

The new office Building will be located on the Camden Waterfront, with stunning views of the Delaware River and Philadelphia. Construction on the 27,000 SF, three-story office building, with a ground floor restaurant, will begin  in 2012.

 

Rutgers University-Camden Dormitory

When completed in August 2012, the $55 million project will offer space for 350 graduate students at Rutgers–Camden. The new dorm, located at Fourth and Cooper Streets, will include retail space on the lower floors.

 

 

Cooper Medical School of Rowan University

The new accredited Cooper Medical School at Rowan University is the first medical school in New Jersey in 30 years. The school will have 25 Active Learning Rooms, designed to be the home for eight students for their first two years of medical school. Located at Broadway and Benson Streets in Camden, the medical school expects its inaugural class in August 2012.

 

Haddon Avenue Transit Village

This project is a 15-acre mixed use transit village on a former industrial strip situated between Haddon and Ferry avenues. The village will anchor Camden’s first new grocery store in more than a generation, a new parking garage, and office space. In addition, the village will include more than 400 units of housing and retail opportunities.

 

New Pedestrian Developments (Campbell’s GreenWay)

With new investments in Camden for active transportation development, extensive design and construction is underway to improve the Camden GreenWay: a network of interconnected waterfront greenway trails and on-street pedestrian multi-use paths that link all of Camden with Philadelphia and the suburbs. The GreenWay connects neighborhoods with public transit and other local institutions, including Rutgers University and the main Campbell Soup [Company] business facility.

 

Farmers Market

During the summer, farmers markets open throughout the city. In addition to the markets located in Cooper Plaza and Downtown, the Greensgrow Farms truck travels to various Camden neighborhoods and central locations during the week to bring local produce to residents.

Living in Camden

Camden is experiencing a revitalization in urban development. New homes, recreational facilities and businesses are under construction throughout the downtown and other city neighborhoods. Camden's location and vast array of community events make it an optimal place for interested homebuyers.
